WHAT IS REQUIRED FROM NOW WHAT PARTICIPANTS?
You don’t need to know what you want…it’s perfectly okay if you don’t. Our only expectation is that you show up fully and that you are ready and willing to explore positive change in your life!
First, you will need to understand why you are stuck. We will explain the myriad of environmental blocks, cultural themes and brain biases that keep you from moving forward. You will find out how to change your mindset, let go of expectations and clear away roadblocks.
OWN YOUR STRENGTHS + VALUES
We begin with introductions and intentions to ignite the power of the group to generate possibilities and networking. We offer a variety of exercises, resources and tools to explore Personality, Interests, Character Strengths, Skills, Values and creative exercises that will help you to brainstorm possibilities that are complementary to your true nature.
DESIGN A PLAN FOR CHANGE
We work together to intentionally create space for what is next by identifying what works and what no longer serves you. You will life-design both your physical environment and relationships to support your new chapter. This is a key component to organizing your life to get “unstuck” and make actual change. We will guide you towards identifying the intersection of your core values, interests, strengths and skills. This is the intersection where “good fit” possibilities reside.
CREATE AN ACTION PLAN
We create actions and accountability around “trying things on.” Your Now What? group will be there to help you investigate, network and find out if new action paths are a match with who you are and what you want to do. Finally, we give you practical tools and a variety of Positive Psychology techniques to create your own custom recipe for change.

NOW WHAT? FACILITATORS: LINDA LESEM, M.S., AND LAURA RIORDAN, PH.D.
Linda Lesem, M.S. is a trained therapist, career counselor and life coach, specializing in Positive Psychology, (the Science of Happiness). She works individually with clients in her own practice, and also facilitates groups for clients, who are yearning to create positive change in their lives! Linda created Moms In Transition, a workshop for Moms who are ready to take their next step, and are asking themselves…”What is next for me?” This is a great way for a small group of women to be together, as they “get back in touch with who they are”, and “what they want” and then start the process of creating a plan for themselves, whether that be re-entering the paid working world, going back to school or volunteering in personally meaningful ways. Linda Lesem, M.S.
Laura Riordan, Ph.D. is a career coach who works with individuals, teams and entrepreneurs in times of transition and growth. With a Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology and 20 years in the mind and body wellness industry, she brings wisdom, clarity and swiftness to her coaching practice.
Laura’s coaching practice evolved from the understanding that people need a guide to help identify their meaningful work, ground aha moments and give accountability and infrastructure to make lasting changes. Laura leverages her Ph.D. to help her clients find bigger versions of themselves and her strategic and practical skills to create a road map to get there. Laura Riordan, Ph.D.
“This workshop helped me decide to take a business idea that I had been ruminating on for years and make it a reality. Whether you have a conceptual starting point, or you crave a professional course correction but don’t know in which direction to head, Laura and Linda’s behavioral science-based curriculum will put you on the right path towards a fulfilling new beginning.”
“I want to thank you both again for the last four wonderful weeks. The workshop exceeded all my expectations and was truly insightful. I appreciate your thoughtful approach and stimulating content. It is such a pleasure to have discovered The Hivery and to have spent time with inspiring, courageous women in class this past month…I did not want the class to end!”
“I met a friend for lunch who asked me about the workshop and I was happy to tell her the two top take-aways for me were: (1) understanding all the aspects of my life and how they fit together (2) how to structure my schedule in a way that compartmentalizes all the pieces. SO MUCH BETTER.”
“While I know I have the knowledge, the courage and the intelligence it is all still quite a scary process… I am putting my best foot forward and filing my life with lots of positive support and encouragement. I am so thankful to have found the combination of the two of you to help me along this path!”

“Participating in your workshop has provided me with an important opportunity to revisit self inventory work I completed previously, and then to use that work to take significant, concrete steps towards breathing life into my teen coaching practice. I loved learning from Laura and Linda, as well as from the other participants. Through the five weeks of the workshop, I received a number of helpful suggestions which will help tremendously as I move forward.”
“This class was led by very professional, excellent life coaches! The group of women were supportive, loving and kind, so much so, that it allowed all of us to open our hearts and feel safe asking for help and supporting each other. I loved all the honesty and beautiful stories we shared and the friendships made…hopefully for a long time!”
“I was stuck thinking that earning money for my work was going to be difficult after years of volunteer work. This workshop has been extremely helpful in learning more about myself, my interests and possible directions I can take. Now I am networking and feel optimistic and re-charged. Thank you Laura and Linda!”
“Now What? helped me push through the barriers of my limiting beliefs and reconnect to my brave and fearless self. Before completing this workshop, I was hiding from opportunities and my own potential. The community gave me the confidence to take risks and be ok with both success and failure. The secret sauce is Reflection and Connection. Taking the time to reflect about your past, uncover your strengths, and create an action plan proved to be invaluable. The frosting? Sharing it in a safe supportive environment with like minded women!”
“I learned that I was very out of practice exploring what I personally might want to do with this next phase of my life. I’ve always been a “good girl,” a rule follower and someone who does what she is told. So when I got laid off from my fancy corporate job, I was at a complete loss. My identity was my job. I hadn’t asked myself what I wanted to do in over 20 years. Thank goodness this workshop helped me start exploring. The secret sauce is following a process of discovery that Laura and Linda do beautifully in tandem with one another. The safe environment that you create for us is so important and enabled me to find the courage to be sad, move through that sadness and begin anew.
